Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy was added to comply with the requirements of Google's app verification process.
Effective date: 20 September 2024
At torn.report, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and your control over it.
No Data Collection
We do not collect or store any personal data. All actions, such as data fetching and processing, are performed directly on your device.
Your Torn API key is used solely for fetching data from Torn’s servers and is never transmitted, stored, or shared with any external service.
No Data Retention
Since all data is processed client-side and stored on your own device, we do not retain any user data on external servers.
Data is saved in your browser’s localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which means it stays on your device and remains under your control.
No Sharing of Information
We do not share, sell, or disclose any of your data to third parties. Since all data processing and storage are done on your device, no information—whether personal, API-related, or usage data—is transmitted to any external services or parties.
The only interaction with third-party services (such as Google Drive or Cloudflare Web Analytics) is limited to the functionalities described in this Privacy Policy, and even in those cases, no identifiable user data is shared by us.
Data Deletion
You are in full control of your data when using torn.report. To delete your data:
- You can clear your browser’s storage manually, which will remove all saved data related to torn.report.
- Alternatively, you can use the “Delete Data” option on the website.
After performing any of these actions, it will be as though you never used the website on that device.
Third-Party Services
While we do not collect or send your data to any external servers, we do utilize certain third-party services to enhance the functionality of the website.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service, to gather essential metrics without compromising your privacy.
Cloudflare Analytics does not use cookies, localStorage, or any form of client-side state to track users. Additionally, no IP addresses, User Agent strings, or other fingerprinting techniques are used for the purpose of displaying analytics.
This ensures that your data remains private while allowing us to monitor the website’s performance.
Google Drive
We offer the option to back up and restore your loaded logs and settings using Google Drive. The following applies when you use this functionality:
1. Client-Side Operations
All operations involving your Google Drive, including the access and interaction with your files, occur entirely on your device (client-side).
No personal data from Google is transmitted to, stored, or processed by any external servers.
2. Permissions
When signing in with Google, Google may notify you that torn.report can:
- Associate you with your personal info on Google.
- See your personal info, including anything made publicly available.
- See your primary Google Account email address.
These permissions are standard notifications from Google and are required for the app to function. We only use this information to interact with your Google Drive for the stated purpose of backup and restore.
3. Session Management
In order to maintain your signed-in state, Google’s API Client may write session information to your browser’s localStorage. This session data is stored locally on your device and is not shared with any external parties or servers. It is used solely to manage your login session.
4. Limited File Access
torn.report can only access files that it creates within your Google Drive for the purpose of providing backup and restore functionalities.
We cannot access or modify other files or information within your Google Drive.
Your Responsibility
While we take steps to ensure your data stays private on your device, it is your responsibility to:
- Keep your Torn API key secure.
- Only install userscripts from people you trust.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of our privacy practices.
